Tea Time!

My girls and I had a special afternoon together, indulging in High Tea, held in an old Victorian style house in a small farm town down the road.

The setting transported us to a simpler time when people paused in the day to commune with each other over a pot of rose petal tea and scones with Devonshire cream.

This was an opportunity to spend time getting to know our newest family member, the daughter-in-law and sister that will officially join the family this April.

She's an old fashioned, farm-raised girl so what better setting to visit than with cucumber sandwiches and fresh baked scones on Grandma's vintage china?

We even got to sport a vintage hat to purely authenticate the experience.

Oh, the stories these hats have heard over a cup of tea....

The bride's bonnet was like a bouquet with a veil trailing behind.

Comment font vous aiment mon chapeau, mon cher ami ?

There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.  ~Henry James, The Portrait of a Lady
