An Alluring Project

Not too long ago someone gave Sam a camping and wilderness survival book. The boys have been gleaning lots of ideas from it. Recently they disappeared into the garage for about a day and a half.

When they emerged they brought out this-

They built an animal trap. I didn't check the condition of the garage when they were finished.

I'm actually very impressed with how well made and functional it is. As far as I know it hasn't caught anything except the cat yet... but we'll see...

  1. I'm impressed. I imagine the cat is not.
Those camping and wilderness survival books make for the quietest days. Usually my husband is out with one of the boys trying out a water still or a newfangled trap.

  3. And isn't it great that they don't have to be at school until 4:00 every day and get home in time to eat and do a pile of homework and go to bed? They actually can have time for these projects!

    1. Being able to do projects like this works as a great motivator to get that paper work done quickly.

  4. That's a fine job, boys. It looks like first class work to me.

    1. The design has one thing against it...the door is tripped when they pull on the string. They think they can sit in a tree with a loooong string and catch something. I hope they won't be disappointed!
