Yum! What kind of berries?
Can you believe I've never had rhubarb? Sad, I know.
ErinFromIowa- Ruby red rhubarb with blueberries, strawberries and raspberries. Summer on a fork.SouthernGal- is it because rhubarb doesn't grow in the south? We're even because I've never eaten okra!
Maybe that's the reason, but we do have it in the grocery stores. I'll try rhubarb if you try okra. Only don't boil the stuff unless you like slime. Cut it up and fry it either breaded or just cook it in a little oil in the frying pan until it's browned. And I'll try to remember which part of the rhubarb is poisonous. Kidding.
Sounds like a deal and I'm even ahead of you. I'm having dinner with friends this weekend and we're making Shrimp and Crab Gumbo...with okra!! (Maybe I'll blog about it too.) And rhubarb is best with any berries, but especially strawberries. (Think cobbler, crisps, pie, etc.)
