Kids Around the World

Our oldest son is in South America. He's been blessed with an amazing job by which he is seeing the world and getting quite a life education. He's become an awesome photographer while traveling also.

Kris misses his little brothers but he gets to interact with lots of kids in his work. Nearly all of them live in needy circumstances and he's met plenty of orphans and beggars.

When Sam and Pete saw their big brother in this photo from Ecuador, they were all like, "Hey!! Who are those kids?!" with more than a tinge of jealousy in their voices. Because they wanted to be there with them.

Kids in Ecuador heading out for a day's work in the fields.

This kid became a rock star among his friends when Kristin had him help drive the tractor.

How cute is she? The hat! The skirt! The boots!

These adorable rascals are from the coastal city of Esmeraldas, Ecuador.

Through Kristin's blog we've been able to see Ecuador, Columbia, Peru, the Galapagos Islands and Machu Picchu. Wow. Just wow.

  1. Actually, the kids in the last photo are from Esmeraldas, Ecuador, the same place as the kids from the first photo. Now that I look at it, they're the same ones. I pulled that photo out of the archive to post, as I haven't been taking a lot of photos and I needed something.
    No matter, thanks still.

  2. Funny!
I thought it was curious that they all liked to wear the same colors. But I didn't notice they were the same KIDS! SO cute though.

  3. Those photos are from the really really poor barrio in Esmeraldas that I visited with the documentary film crew from Germany. Those kids weren't part of the centro de chicos de la calle that we were visiting, but they were so excited to see us and the cameras that they followed us around all afternoon and kept getting in front of our cameras. I have 20 more pictures of just those 3.
